Since the beginning of my career as a lawyer, I have worked in company law, advising companies, entrepreneurial families, shareholders and members of corporate bodies on all questions of company law and its many interfaces with tax, accounting, inheritance and business succession law.

I support the founding, structuring and further development of companies as well as complex company-law restructurings, conversions, company acquisitions and company sales. My advice combines legal precision with economic understanding and a clear view of the long-term interests of those involved.
Corporate litigation (contentious company law) also used to be one of the defining areas of my work. Many years of representation in company-law disputes enable me to identify risks early and to design arrangements so that disputes are avoided wherever possible or – where they are unavoidable – conducted strategically and consistently.
Beyond operational advice, I support shareholders, entrepreneurial families, advisory boards and supervisory bodies as a trusted adviser on fundamental business decisions. In complex processes of change, I combine legal, economic and personal interests into viable solutions.
Business succession has always been an integral part of my advice. It demands far more than legally secure arrangements for individual areas. Sustainable succession solutions emerge where company-law structures, tax conditions, family interests and entrepreneurial responsibility are brought into harmony.
About me
Admitted as a Rechtsanwalt (German-qualified lawyer) since February 1990, I completed my doctorate at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau in 1991 on a topic in the law of corporations, graduating “summa cum laude”.
At the end of 1991 I became a partner at the law firm Caemmerer in Karlsruhe. A few years later, I was a co-founder there of the first cross-border firm of lawyers, auditors and tax advisers with lawyers and notaries in Switzerland, today's Caemmerer Lenz Rechtsanwälte Wirtschaftsprüfer Steuerberater PartG mbB.

What has shaped me
A good thirty years of working on questions of the development and organisation of medium-sized law firms. Alongside this, as a “legal hobbyhorse”: a wide variety of tasks and activities in the network of Eurojuris International E.W.I.V. (EEIG), where professional contacts also grew into personal friendships across Europe. Accordingly, DEUTSCH.LEGAL also became part of the Eurojuris International network in July 2026.

More about me
I speak English, French and Spanish. I particularly like to spend my holidays on the Iberian Peninsula and in France, with favourite destinations in Andalusia, Portugal and Provence. With a soft spot for excellent hotels and restaurants, I always think about how a law firm can also be a perfect host. In this spirit, with DEUTSCH.LEGAL we want to realise a personal advisory concept focused especially on business leaders and asset owners.
